Exclamation BMW valve stem caps with roundel

You guys are going to kill me. Anyone who I gave valve stem caps to may want to see if you can get them off. I just came back from the dealer and mine fused to the stem. The only way to get them off is to remove the stem.

They have new ones now made from a different material so this doesn't happen.

I must have given out 50 sets of those bad boys over the years. I better stick to cannolis. Sorry.

I liked the stock plastic gray ones with a flat head as I recall but when I went to aftermarket wheels, the installer took them and gave me metal round ones. Apparently they freeze on the stems. I want the stock ones back... which ones are they selling now?

Didn't you know that 100 ft/lbs was for the lug bolts not the valve stem cap!

You should only be using the new style ABS ones on the E70 anyway. I thought most people knew this.

See post # 6 & 8.

Thanks X5 Meister. I'm the one that sent them to Statdoc. I never saw the thread.

Boston - I did check the pressure not too long ago. Why get my hands and nails dirty when the TPM triggers at a 2 psi variance.

Ray - I don't know my own strength.

The very first thing that came out of mouth when I heard was "I'm going to have a lot of pissed off friends" How could I not say anything?. Although I'm not the genius that designed them, I'd feel really bad if anyone had a problem because of a gift I gave them.

Dislcaimer: This post should not be intrepretted as acceptance of responsibilty for damages resulting from the use of said gifts. I will not be responsible for any costs associated with replacing the stems.

I like my old disclaimer better.
