Must have tech for cars

I like the radar sensors for the blind spot. Makes sooo much sense

Very cool... I agree, radar sensors would be a good addition, especially with big cars like ours that have large blind spots.

I probably read like an ol'fart/caveman, but imo, the "tech/gizmo" chase is way overdone and a lot of it is answers in search of a question.

I can hardly wait to be rolling down the highway at 70mph+, surrounded by the average idiots on the road, most of whom are gabbing on cell phones, taking notes, eating, reading, worrying about kids, job, etc., while watching their NAV/TV and Now checking to see if their fooking proximity radar shows their right qtr is clear so they can cut over two lanes to grab the exit they are about to miss. WTF?!

This is Not the Jetson era with flying cars, cars on high speed tracks, etc. That won't happen in your kids' lifetimes...driving a 3 or 4,000 lb or, more vehicle is about paying some semblence of attention and occasionally using mirrors or a head turn.

These gizmos are not panaceas...just gadget junque to make it seem like we are getting high tech and modern and "safer".

I can hardly wait for my '09 BMW or MB, with electronic Everything to go on the fooking fritz, especially a week after the warranty runs out.
