Question anybody here Brazilian?

Anybody? If so, I've been going through a breakup/back-together thing with my Brazilian girlfriend for the past month or two (we've been together for 9 months now, we met while studying for the bar exam) and I could really use some help figuring things out .... I'm really quite devastated and could use some guidance. That said, things are obviously of a personal nature, so I'd prefer to discuss with a PM if possible. Thank you.........

Two guys meet, one says "I just came back from a trip to Brazil ... did not like it...there are only prostitutes or soccer players over there". The other guy gets really upset and says "Eh! watch your mouth, my girlfriend is from Brazil!!" and the first one to respond "oh! and which team is she playing for?"

fair enough.

but no, because more "traditional" cultures tend to have more homogeneous cultural traits than what we find here in the states. i can say that's CERTAINLY the case for my other half, my persian side. generally, persians share very similar cultural attitudes and behavior traits across the range.

that said, i should clarify: when I say "Brazilian," I am referring to the southern states of Brazil like the states of Parana, NOT the northern cities of Rio or places in Bahia. if you've ever been to Brazil, you'll know that northern and southern Brazil are more different to one another than northern and southern california

look the point is, i've been pretty heart broken by very inexplicable experiences and i'm just looking to help shed some light on it. nearing 30 years of age, the next hottest girl to hook up with is just a demonstration of diminishing marginal returns. making a relationship work with the ONLY decent girl i've ever known in the 10 years or so that I've been dating is far more important. the last thing i need is any callous or otherwise unhelpful comments, even if they may be relatively well-intended objective statements of fact like you so eloquently stated.

sorry if this question has offended(?) anyone .... moderators, feel free to delete if you like.

I feel your pain bro, I've dated some brazilians in college and they can be pretty stubborn. Feel free to pm if you'd like.
And guys I seriously don't see why instead of helping him knowing he's heartbroken, ya'll making some smart comments SAD IMO.

OK well, really sorry for your girl friend breaking up with you but you are probably still young and you still have all the time to meet the right one. Life is tough sometime but if you are that heartbroken with this one how will you feel later in your life if your wife of 19years and after 2 kids just decide to leave you! My point is you need to get over it buddy. Life still has a lot to offer to you.
Best wishes

First of all, my response was not cold or unsympathetic it was sincere. I'm sorry you got dumped, it happens to everyone, but it's not easy to deal with.

BUT!

You can't ask such general questions about an entire nationality of women and ask for advice. it's ridiculous. Especially in the way you phrased your post.

That being said, and considering that we're talking in ridiculous generalities:

SA women like strong men, and to be honest, strong men don't cry on an automotive message board about how they got dumped.

Weren't you the same guy who was on here in the past asking how to impress your persian GF?

Dude, it's time for you to grow a pair, man up, wipe the snot off your nose and the tears off your face and go bang her sister.

And if that is too tough, well, call mommy, she's always supportive.
