So yesterday I am driving back from a meeting. I am still about 2 hours away from home, on the interstate, when my "tire pressure" warning light comes on. I stop and find my right rear tire is down to ~20 psi. I know this is likely a real problem, since I just checked all the tires last week.
I drive just a little bit further to a small town. I stop in at a tire shop for the repair. I had to wait almost 90 minutes, but finally they remove some small piece of metal from the tire, patch it and I am on my way. It only cost $15, so I consider things good.
Until tonight.
I am in a suit, on my way to a graduation event. A motorcyclist comes up alongside and tells me I have a flat tire! Same one that was supposedly fixed yesterday. So there I am, roadside in a suit, putting on the spare. Thankfully, I managed to avoid getting my clothes dirty, and my hands cleaned up with a little wet wipe I happened to have in the car.
So tomorrow, I get to take the bad tire to my usual tire shop, and get them to really fix it.
