I like the phone but Hate sprint's service coverage !!! I like my verizon's coverage but hate their phones!! what to do ??? same story w/ ATT like their phones but hate their coverage..... in NE Veriz. is King in coverage, but they kill the phones by deleting many features...... my friends who work @ Samsung have told me that Veriz. drops lots of the features so it will not interrupt their network capabilities .... thus the reason why Veriz. has so few options of phones compare to ATT ......

Well, AT&T and Verizon last week states they will pick up the Palm Pre after Sprint's 6 month exclusivity deal is done at the end of 2009. My Verizon Palm Centro has nothing blocked or dropped by Verizon.

Next Tuesday, we will find out what Apple will add to their new iPhone but certainly there will be no physical keyboard for sure or real multitasking. However, there will plenty of fun features.

I like all gadget and I'm not a fanboy of one company or another. I have multiple PCs and Apple products alike. I'm not a Windows or Mac fanatic...I use what is appropiate to me which may not be appropiate to you. iPhone is out not only because AT&T lack of 3G coverage in my area but also the virutal keyboard whether landscape or portrait mode. I have used it several times and still not a big fan of virtual keyboards no matter how good Apple makes it. For my use, virutal keyboard will slow me down.

I personally do not like virtual keyboard. There is certain things that the Palm Pre does better than the iPhone and there certain pros for the iPhone. However, this is the first smartphone to even compete with the iPhone. Let's see how everything plays out after next Tues at WWDC...

Overall pretty good reviews. The thing to remember with the Pre, as been mentioned, is that it will be available on multiple carriers after the 6 month exclusive is up for Sprint, and the real innovation is not really the device itself, but the software. Also, expect other carriers around the world to also get it very shortly. We should see some other form factors offered very shortly as well.

I'll wait till Verizon gets it, since my contract expires right around then anyway. I may still end up going to Sprint through, since the plans on Sprint are much better than Verizon. Unlimited everything for $99, and the plan I would get, at $69 with about 450 minutes and unlimited everything else, is almost what I pay for just voice on Verizon.

Just out of curiosity I just checked out Sprint's website coverage map...... that's a Joke !!!! they still have parts of NJ, PA, NY CT with NO Coverage and other areas w/ Roaming ??? ..... that's right folks Roaming !!!! basically the coverage map looks the same back 8 yrs ago when I tried out Sprint for 2 days. before going back to verizon..... I'm not a big fan of Verizon but they do have one of the best service in the Northeast by far...... hope the pre comes to Verz.... very soon
