Quick Tire Question
This is more of a general question that I didn't think needed to end up in the tire and wheel forum. If it needs to be moved, by all means, move it.
 My question is, how long do tires last? Assuming there is tread on the tires, can you get 6 to 7 years out of the tires, or does the rubber change composition or dry out? A friend has a low mileage car and a dedicated set of snow rims, and his 6 year old tires have about 25k of use, and probably have another 15k of tread. To me, the tires seems a bit hard, as if the rubber is dead, or close it. Perhaps it is my overactive imagination?! Thanks in advance!
