Cool Yes, before SG or Quicksilver comments...Apple Latest iTunes 8.2.1 blocks Palm Pre

Yes, we all knew Apple was going to do it...So, if you have a Palm Pre, don't upgrade iTunes beyond 8.2 or yes Double-Twist or Mark Space Missing Sync program.

FAIL. can't you hack iTunes like you can jailbreak the phone though?

Why are Anti-Apple fanbois using iTunes anyway?

One easy solution is to drag & drop your music from your PC/Mac iTunes music library into your Palm Pre music folder manually.

The other official solution is to get MarkSpace Missing Sync software for Palm Pre and yes, it's been confirmed that even with iTunes 8.2.1, Missing Sync will still allow iTunes syncing with the Palm Pre. MarkSpace uses office Apple API for iTunes.

Keep your life in sync with The Missing Sync for Palm Pre from MarkSpace

By the way, MarkSpace makes multiple syncing software to allow multiple smartphones to sync with the Mac & PC.

Also, the other solution is to use DoubleTwist made by "DVD Jon".

DoubleTwist Manages Your Pre Media, Freely, Easily, and Transparently | PreCentral.net

Or we can see what Palm will do when webOS 1.1 comes out later this month...

no big deal......

Yeah, silly Jon Rubenstein (who basically developed the first iPod) thought that he could get away with syncing the Palm Pre with iTunes without paying licensing fees to Apple...

Just because you used to work for Apple and helped turn them around with developing iMacs and iPod doesn't give him the right to be friendly with Apple software once he left the company...

Well, I guess other companies can fill the iTunes sync void....

Here's a freebie app that allows Palm Pre to sync with iTunes 8.2.1
