Infinity Confirms Howard Stern Replacements

After months of speculation, Infinity Broadcasting has confirmed that the replacements for Stern — who will air his final broadcast radio show on Dec. 16 — will be current Loveline host Adam Carolla and former Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth. Both will both debut in their new morning roles on Jan. 3; Roth from WXRK/New York and Carolla from KLSX/Los Angeles.

And they will both bomb. I still can't believe Infinity let go of Stern. I am not a fan of his, but he does have a HUGE audience, and his show demanded big advertisement bucks.

I've never heard Roth, but if his "real late" show (after Jon Stewart) is any indication, Corolla will bomb. I liked him with love lines, and the Man Show, but, I don't know that he cuts it as a talk show radio (or tv) host.

MANCOW would be the best replacement for Stern's timeslot. He is becoming one of the biggest syndicated shows on radio right now. He's out of Chicago and has been on 94.3 here in Knoxville for a few years now.......in fact, he's coming to town this Saturday to host the Univ. of TN football game and they have declared it Mancow Day here.......then he is having a VIP party at one of the local clubs here...........
Anyway, he really is a smart guy behind all the crazy stuff he does........

Anyone going with Stern? I loved stern for 20 yrs for free, don't know if I want to spend $15 per month for him yet?

I've already got Sirius...it's nice. I would do it just to get the variety of music channels.

Well, I don't know if it's related to Stern moving to Sirius yet, but for the 1st time in Sirius history, Sirius has gotten more new suscribers than XM radio this quarter. I must say I am really glad I bought Sirius stocks when they were $0.76/share 3years ago.
