anyone flown this engineering marvel yet? does it just feel like a bigger 747-400 or is it obviously something special? I generally prefer large airbus over Boeings - esp the a340-600 since they're so ridiculously quiet. anyway after reading about the 380's development for years and watching pretty much every documentary on it, I can't wait! I'll be on a 747 from lax-Auckland but the 380 returning from syd-lax.

I also would like to fly in the 380, but only if I can fly business or first class. I really doubt there's much difference in coach.

yeah, that's what i was thinking too ............. hopefully the fancy-shamnsy seats though will ultimately allow for slightly more extended leg room and greater thigh support.
at 6,5" i always have to beg and plead (and flirt if the gate attendant is a girl!) to get a seat with more leg room, be it aisle; emergency exit; or, as once was offered to me, a biz class seat returning from FRA to SFO!
