sydney: sydney wildlife park or featherdale?
I'm only going to have 3.5 days in Sydney, I was wondering what you recommended to get up-close-and-personal with some of Australia's amazing creatures: the Sydney Wildlife Park or the Featherdale Park? Thanks!

Having grown up in Sydney (quite a few years ago) I can vouch for Sydney's Taronga Park Zoo. It used to be world class, I can't see any reason why it still wouldn't be. You'll obviously get to check out all of our marsupials, which are very unique to our part of the world plus all sorts of other critters from here and sundry. Make sure you catch the ferry from Circular Quay over to the zoo as Sydney Harbour really is breathtaking. Like any decent zoo, give yourself a full day to take it all in. Don't forget to take your camera. Enjoy

Climb the 'Coathanger'...
Hey Marc,
Don't miss out on the opportunity to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge if you can...absolutely awesome! As soon as you arrive, make a booking and if you can do it on dusk, the sun setting is spectacular... And if you have time, come down to Melbourne...the 'premier' city of Australia!  Cheers, Ian

Agree with Xfoomph that Taronga is worth a visit. Featherdale ia very popular with tourists and many buses come and go every day. Last time I went (some years back now) there was definitely opportunities to get in a meet and greet animals and touch a koala if you wish. Not sure where you are staying but it is about 40 minutes from the centre of Sydney. Also agree with onions that the bridgeclimb is great. Not cheap but something you will remember. Wouldn't waste time going to Melbourne though  ... Just kidding, friendly interstate rivalry. Melbourne has some outstanding restaurants and cultural aspects!!

Thanks all of you for your suggestions! As it turns out, because I only have 3.5 days, I decided to book a double-pass ticket to the Sydney Wildlife Park and Aquarium (only about $40) ....... also I didn't want to take the time to get on a 2-hr roundtrip bus tour to Featherdale .... honestly as long as I can get a photo with a koala I don't care where I go
As for the bridge, i'll certainly look into it!! Thanks!!
