Windows 7

Worth spending $20 to upgrade ram to run it instead of XP?

For $20 it wouldn't hurt to add memory even if you stick with XP.

What do you need more than 2gb in XP for? I hardly ever feel like more is needed.

I said it wouldn't hurt, I didn't say it was necessary.
It all depends on what applications you run. I have 2GB on my XP development box and I need all of it.

Windows 7 is so good that it's worth spending $1,200 for a new PC to run it on That's what I did and it's been worth every cent.

I ran Vista x64 until I could get the final release of Windows 7 x64. I just installed that over Vista -- did not have a single driver or software issue

I have used every Windows OS since 3.0 and as an IT person...... so far Windows 7 is my favorite next to Windows 2000. Win 2K wasn't glamorous but it worked very well.

I highly recommend Win 7 so far.....

Only since 3.0??? I'm assuming you mean Windows 3.0?

The earliest that I remember using was Microsoft MS-DOS 1.0. I developed business applications on PC/MS-DOS 3.0...
