mD, I don't much about this stuff either, just learn a little bit more everytime I need to make a purchase. The Toshiba drives are pretty reliable afaik and that works well for storage. I need one as a primary drive though so performance is high priority. Western Digital and Seagate tend to be the best, but Seagate seems to be having quality quirks.

If you have important stuff stored on those flash and hard drives, it would be a very very good idea to back all of it up on another hard drive. You never know when something doesn't feel like doing it's job anymore no matter how overall reliable.
