LeAnn Rimes has been getting some pretty crappy press lately. So she went golfing with her new boyfriend, the married Eddie Cibrian, and is apparently now a suspect in a hit and run accident. That should help!

Law enforcement sources revealed to TMZ that Rimes was driving a 2009 Audi Q5 when she allegedly rear-ended a 2006 BMW X5 that was stopped in the left turn lane. Although there were no injuries and minor damage to the cars, she may have fled the scene.

However, LeAnn's rep claims it was all a big old misunderstanding. "There was a routine police investigation into this incident, and a police report was filed," Rimes' rep told E! News. "We are confident that this matter will be resolved shortly and LeAnn will be cleared."
