The link mentions that this is only a possibility, and far from a certainty.

Getting rid of the Cayenne is like BMW killing off the 3-series: it has become Porsche's best-selling vehicle! The Cayenne and the Boxster are their 'bread and butter'. The 911 line is only the icing. In other words: not gonna happen...

And as for looks, I love the X5 more, but I am not a Pepper-hater. It's nice to have competition in the performance-SUV sector.

i doubt it, cayenne sells too well to be axed. plus, its better to have the cayenne in the market. i would expect the new X5 M to be more than ~90k if there wasn't a cayenne turbo priced a little higher...

its probably all so someone will finally buy one of these or notice it was made . i hope they keep the ugly frog though

VW....Can't even names their cars properly Tiguan, Touareg, Routan, Vanagon....and the fiasco Phaeton.

You go to dealer and the sales guy says here is a Tiguan...and you go Tig what?
