Garage floors finish options

Looking at various garage floor finish options. Epoxy, CVT, concrete polish etc. Anybody here has any experience with Racedeck floors. Please share your views, pics if any. What's difference with Composite vinyl tile?

I installed racedeck in my garage but it's not fully completed yet since i need to order some more tilesfor some of the pattern on the outside. Huge difference between that and the crappy garage floor paint. Very sturdy, easy to install and look great.. a little pricey but well worth it in my opinion.

Im using the Craftsman floor tile that is similar. The only thing about them is if you drive in too quickly, the floor tends to lift a little. If you drive in slowly, the floor stays flat. Other than that, I have been happy with them.

Is that the same as the tiles at Costco? I want to do something similar to my garage. Black and White checkerboard

I ordered information from race deck, 'cuz I wanted to put that in my new house. BUT I have a 3-car garage, and at about $3.50 a square foot... well, that'll get a little expensive. I may have to find something else.

(Besides, I'd rather spend money on mods for my X5. )

I heard MotoFloor @ Costco is same as Racedeck. Costco has only 3 colors.

Seems like it just snaps together and does not use any glue. I read somewhere that any water, oil or other leakage that happens will collect under and sit there for long time. So that means you can never wash your garage. Is that true?

Juan, I hear you on cost. My 3-car garage is 20'x30' plus 10x8 storage space.

Yeah, mine is 20x36, which is GREAT. It means both my wife and I will be able to keep the cars in the garage... it also means I have to spend a lot of money to do something with that floor... Oh well. I'm not complaining. I'll take my "base," 3-car garage over a small garage with fancy flooring.

That would not be good if you spilled something. Seems like you would have to pull up the flooring to clean up a mess. Maybe tiling would be a better solution.

i'm looking at polishing the cement floor in my garage. it's easy to do, it's not slippery, it's inexpensive and and it's easy to clean....

here's a good link about it:

http://www.concretenetwork.com/concrete/polishing/

I looked into race deck and painting, and both have major flaws (paint is too much maintenance, and race deck leaks and is expensive). After the holidays i'm going to get a couple of quotes if I haven't figured out how to do it myself. could be a good DIY.

the costco tiles are race-deck tiles. they do snap together and they are about 1 inch thick. they work great. almost every professional race team have them and bring them as portable working surfaces to the track should they not have a garage to use.

but if you drop a small screw or liquids, they do pass on to the floor underneath.

like juan, i have a 3 car garage and am looking at CVT as the cheaper solution.. but these need to be glued down...
