Well what do you know sounds like your describing my iPhone.
The difference is the iPhone is easier to use......
How do I know ??? I have both..................

BTW do you really believe that no one ever calls the
support desk about a Blackberry? That has to be the
biggest joke of all.......

Dependable might be boring, but I'll take boring over hundreds of support calls coming into my help desk for an unreliable device any day.

I happen to like my "superfluous crap" on my iPhone. Like my $2.99 turn by turn voice prompt navigation which is one of the 7 pages of apps I have installed. My 3 year old has 2 pages of learning games and I've used the compass and several other handy tools I've downloaded. There is a program called ReQall which I'm really enjoying. It is an intuitive reminder program that actually works with the ability to text/email others with voice recognition. It does much more as do several other programs. Yeah...I've got some useless cool things as well. I have the metal detector, a sonar measurement program which works to a distance of 60 feet and compensates for room temperature. There are a few others I'll never use but are cool none the less.

For personal use, whatever people use, they use, but in a business environment it causes a nightmare for support organizations.

For starters read post #31
Don't make me use your Billy Madison quote..
I didn't call you MY boy, I called you a fanboy of the iPhone, but you know that already don't you, once again you're playing dumb, or should I say "passive aggressive", you can pick

I read post 31, and yet, your post still makes absolutely no sense and my billy madison response stands.

So what if 1 is easier to use or not? That's not the point in question.

The point in question that you're ignoring is that I called out Apple and their fans for turning a blind eye to the iPhone not having basic capability that other phones have had for almost 10 years. To add to the ridiculousness and fanboydom, iPhone users act like Apple is being innovative when they do finally get the functionality. That being said, I am also making the point that I prefer that a company make the basics a priority instead of the "superfluous crap" apps that it seems that Apple has done. When you're in a support organization and people are calling my help desk saying "why can't i do this? it's a basic function, figure out a work around" on a daily basis, it supports my point.

Regarding your comment about "no one ever calling the help desk about a bberry", no, I never said that.

HOWEVER, iPhone's in a corporate environment need far more support not only from a user perspective, but from our Chief Security Officer standpoint as well, as Apple hasn't made it a priority to provide business applications that allow us to secure the devices, remotely wipe them if they're lost, push email instead of pull, integrating RSA tokens, etc etc.

Hmmm, I guess I didn't need to do any research after all, go figure.

Boy in any form isn't acceptable. But for your information
I do enjoy Apple products. I have a choice and I'm happy with
the decision I have made. But contrary to popular opinion
I don't fit the urban description of "Fanboy.
I'm not "A person who is completely loyal to a game or
company reguardless of if they suck or not.

Your calling out Apple and their users for turning a blind eye to the iPhone not having basic capability that other phones have had for almost 10 years?

Your preaching to the Choir my friend. Apple users already know about the issues regarding the devices and No one... Let me repeat "NO ONE" screams
louder than product users regarding apples products and decision
making.

I guess I must not run with the crowd you describe because i
Personally don't know of any iPhone users that act like Apple is being innovative when they do finally get a specific functionality.

But if your disturbed by what you call the ridiculousness and fanboydom then use whatever pleases you, I for one will not be offended by
your decision and I won't call other users out for using any
device of their choice.

Finally re: iPhone's in a corporate environment? My advice is
simple just use another device that suits the corporate
environment. It appears from your comment that Apple
doesn't care and the corporate CEO fanboys (as
you call them) don't either. Go figure. I guess they
been bitten by the innovation bug ......
