BMW US Mutha Plant Hiring...

At the Spartanburg plant...
Up to 700 "temporary" workers, fwiw.

On the local news last night, and a couple of snippets pasted below...
$13 an hour, (not exactly WallStDough), but at least a job, if possibly
only "temporary". Interesting that the hiring is done through a couple
of "contracting services" and, there is considerable debate as to what
"benefits" really come with the job. Not sure I would get out of bed or,
off the golf course for $13 an hr, but I realize some people really need
some income. Hope they train them well for all you new car recipient's
sakes.

LMAO...$13 an hour?! There goes the quality...I can only imagine who'd be all over that wage. I'm honestly surprised it's that low.

Good dig, Md. A job is a job. At least someone is hiring.

Too bad I'm not an engineer. If they had an administrative position I'd be glad to have it since I'm graduating this coming year.

Jeez... they hire kids off the street to change oil and tires for more than that...

And, in a related art., speaking of $13 an hour, hundreds apply for
one inside job at a trucking company...it's ugly out there, my maties.
I may have to resurrect my rants on the Econ.

$13/hour is $26k a year, and I bet you that there are hundreds of people who would take that in a heartbeat.

AT $13 an hour, then can share a box under the bridge w/ Ed McMahon.
