I just hope USA can make a splash enough to get the attention of all the americans who do not even think of football/soccer as a real sport. It is one of the most exciting games to watch and we just can't seem to get the appreciation over here They say it is boring because games end with no score then go watch 4 1/2 hr baseball games with no hits aka two guys playing catch.

The USA hasn't drawn a bad group. With England, Slovenia and Algeria they have a good chance to make it through to the round of 16.

Two alumni from my school are on the team, this shall be interesting. Glad to have the HD package for it. Can't wait for weird hours / DVR action this summer.

Not quite an easy group for US...we all know UK...but Slovenia is pretty decent as well ...

So far we are holding our own against England ...

I feel sorry for the english gk Green but thats life ...

I wonder if the sad f!!!k English commentators are going to keep mentioning 1966 every 10 minutes , what is it with those guys. is it a reminder to themselves they have not won a world cup for 44 years and need to get the finger out .

Nederland is my pick to go to the top. Maybe Brazil vs Nederlands, or Spain.

Pretty much a random pick based on preference.

England will give a less than stellar performance as per usual.

I'm getting really worried. The USA put three past Australia in a warm-up game a week back. What will the Germans put past us in a few hours? We have an old team with a dud coach. Could be the first real flogging of the tournament.
