i finally got my quad rails put on my ar15 + scope. i haven't got an update pic yet.

Nice AR! Damn, Now I want to go to the range and blow through all my ammo... the SIG feels neglected, rode hard and put away clean and lubed.

I'm not schooled on firearms, but I have been reading on various web sites that there is a shortage of ammo in the country. What's the story with that?

Nope, there's an artificial scarcity of ammo for some reason. Panic buying and stocking up etc.

Which is increased demand.

When you have a Democratic Congressional leadership & POTUS who are on record as anti-gun, it is not surprising that guns & ammo would be stockpiled, in case the supply is suddenly cut off via new laws or edicts.

That's what I built a FDE (Flat Dark Earth, or just tan) AR. That pic with the safe full of rifles and loaded magazines is crazy! The truckload of them must be military rifles... I hope.

The ammo shortage seems real to me. I hear that it's due to the massive needs of the military and I'm sure there is some stockpiling going on. There is ammo out there but it does seem few and far between, plus expensive. Luckily I'm fairly stocked up in all most calibers.

Nice AR. I see you have a Spike's lower. That's what I last built up. I have a Double Star waiting for parts (or should I say money ). The Magpul CTR is a nice stock. I think I might convert my other built AR to the Magpul OME stocks just for a change.

Below is my recently built AR. It's a Spike's lower with Stag Arms LPK, a Stag Arms upper, Vltor stock, Magpul MIAD grip, Tango Down vertical grip, Tango Down and Magpul rail covers, Vltor sling plate, Specter single-point sling, BUIS, and my beloved EOTech 512. It's nothing exotic or super high end like the Larue Tactical stuff but it's still pretty cool.

I was having coffee with a guy yesterday morning joking about gun laws in Maryland. He can carry a gun on him ANYWHERE..yet in MD he has to have two types of identification and a card stating which weapon he'll be carrying. SO DUMB.
