I-81, US29 were shut for most of the day. Central and Western VA have been a disaster since last night.

Winter tyres are the critical component in any sort of driving today; my X3 had no issues on side roads, and even when the wheels were spinning, the tyres still had enough grip to maintain forward momentum.

3 hours with the snow blower on my driveway/sidewalks and helping the neighbors out. 2' + and then it gets really deep with the drifts.

The new Pirelli Scorpions didn't let me down - easily handled any of the deepest snow I was able to find today.

I have no sympathy for those stranded on highways. Worst storm in December for the mid-Atlantic in a quarter century and you had 2 days warning....DON'T DRIVE.

At various points last night, I-66 and I-95 were shut down in portions due to the snow, they've reopened.

I-81 and US-29 remains closed in the same parts in the central part of the state.

We got somewhere between 24" and 28". It's hard to tell the exact amount because we're surrounded by open fields on all sides, so the blowing snow and drifts are insane.
