Cool! That's sort of what I've been waiting for. There was a rumor of a 70-200mm f/1.8L IS. That would make a big lens massive!
What do you think we'll see in terms of price drop on the older version?

Holy Crap. B*H is selling the vI for $1700. There's a $150 instant rebate on it right now. IIRC the price used to be lower, I don't remember that lens being $1850MSRP in the past. Wow.
