Thumbs up Got my ultra portable notebook

Can't believe this thing ....though not for people who are quite farsighted, but if you vision is still good, you'll love this ultra portable laptop.

Sony VGN TX-670P: 2.7 lbs, decent battery life, 1GB RAM, 60GB HD, built-in wifi, CINGULAR Edge for WWAN, built-in bluetooth, and built-in dual-layer DVD burner! Also, they have a special AV mode, so if you just want to watch a DVD or play a CD or see pictures with SD or memory stick card and the computer is off, you just hit AV Mode button and in 5 seconds, the notebook acts like a portable DVD/CD/Memory card player!!

Has 1.2 GHz Centrino so it helps with battery life and decent performance. 11.1" screen with 1366 x 768 resolution.

I will use it for mainly traveling, etc. Still have my Dell Laptop powerhorse and my aging Dell Destop. Also, work has a 2.8GHz HP desktop as well.

Got PC Magazine's editor's choice FWIW : http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1895,1860090,00.asp

I was going to order one on-line. Just happened to drop by one of the local Sony Style stores in SoCal and they had 5 of the "platinum white" 670 and decided might as well pick one up before the holiday rush. Got the 3-year warranty for extra $100.

So far so good. Will used it at work for an experimental program, but mainly for personal/business use for traveling use.

Just got tired of lugging a 7+ lb laptop with all the accessories when I traveled. Been doing quite of bit of traveling--air travel and ship, etc.

This thing is great for ultra portability. Still like my Dell laptop and I should take a pic of both side-by-side....

Anyhow, thanks for the compliment.

Hey Doc can you take a pic of the two side by side? I'd like to see the difference in size between the Sony and the Dell. Looks sharp!!!

You'll love it, Doc. I recently got the T-350 VAIO notebook, it's awesome.
