BMW Outfits Embraer Phenom Executive Jet

Quote:
Looking for a fresh take on the cabins of their executive jets, Brazilian aerospace concern Embraer has teamed up with the designers at BMW to outfit their latest series. Executed on the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300, BMW DesignWorks USA brought a new perspective to the aircraft industry, giving the Embraers the Bavarian treatment with unique color schemes, high-quality materials and clever storage solutions on-board.

So far Embraer has delivered 100 jets so equipped, and has orders on the books for another 600, so don't be surprised if you see one of these taxiing the runway at the local air strip.
BMW can make a jet look very nice and clean. Wonder how much it costs!?

actually, only bmw design center worked on the cockpit of the phenoms... instrumentation is from garmin with the 12" pilot screens and a 15" center navigation screen. the 4 seat passenger phenom 100 goes for about 3 Million. the 8 passenger phenom 300 goes for about 6 Million. both equiped with w&p engines and allow for cruising speeds of 550mph...

they are really sweet jets.

These are some very nice and affordable (not too expensive) jets. I was expecting a price tag somewhere close to $50 mil. Guess I should stop comparing everything to the new G650

these are VLJ classed.. (Very Light Jets) and only do short trips around 1500 miles between refueling. G650 is about 3x larger and does 5000 miles and goes just shy of supersonic..

most new millionaires over spend here thinking its just the cost of the jet to get into the game... there's always high maintenance costs to keep it certified to fly, landing fees, outrageous fuel prices and consumption, and of course pilot fees... most new millionaires go broke trying to keep up with the truly wealthy and burn it all up real fast... so 3 million to get into the game, think you will spend that easily in 3-5 years of owning one... tco here is extremely high...
