Any ATT DSL customer?

Anybody here uses ATT DSL and are you happy with the service?
I have had RoadRunner cable as internet provider for many years but I do not like their attitude and their prices went up quite a lot in the last 12months. Unless you get the TV, Phone and internet bundle they are unwilling to give you any rebate. I only have internet with them. ATT is currently offering DSL 6mps (to be compare to the 7mps I get with roadrunner) for $25 less than I pay right now for RoadRunner and that includes access to their nationwide wifi hotpot network. Any feedback on ATT DSL service would be appreciated
Thanks

I know its different, but I have U-Verse and am very happy with the customer service portion of it. My aunt uses AT&T DSL in Florida and likes it, but I'm used to a T1 line so of course I'll think its slow. I'm of the opinion that anything is better than roadrunner, which I had back in Maine.

I've been using AT&T DSL for 10 years. Have their highest speed 6mbps service; typically get max of 4.9mbps.

Service has been excellent; when there's power outages, cable modems may go out. My neighbor had no cable, internet or phone (as she had Cablevision for all) for 10 days after the storms 2 months ago. My internet service was down for 30 minutes.

You would normally get much faster speeds with cable but I have a pretty full AT&T package (2 land lines, internet, and cell phones incl. iPhone) so I get a decent rate.

I did have a problem with dropped internet connections on a fairly regular basis a couple of months ago. They sent a very knowledgable technician who attributed it to my old DSL modem, Linksys router, Linksys wireless connection (all of which was about 6 years old). He replaced all that with one AT&T 2701HG-B Gateway (which is DSL modem + router + wireless hub) for free. Problem solved.

I switched from cable to ATT DSL a few years ago. Haven't regretted it one single day.
