Red Wing's D'man Jiri Fischer collapses on bench
Game cancelled. The initial reports were that he was hit with a puck or stick in the throat but it turns out he had a seizure on the bench and had to be taken to the hospital after the paramedics performed CPR on him....

I hope he's ok....

He's currently at a local hospital here in Detroit and is reported to be alert and doing well. The game was canceled and will be rescheduled sometime in the future.

I was watching the game when it happened. Quite a shock, and I'm just glad that he seems to be OK.
