I do like the new cayenne better than the older ones, especially black on black as in the video... but I wonder how an X5M/X6M would have done on the same track that day?

That would be interesting to see, indeed. I'm sure the XM's would def' put up a better fight. The new Pepper styling is growing on me. Although i plan on a test drive, to actually have the experience as opposed to believing a review...my preference would be either X ///M modded to my taste and would possibly have enough left over to 3M the entire X several times over.

Weird I have been checking out the new pep's at my local dealer and it is the first car in some time that I loved in pictures but am not so crazy about in real life for some reason. Even weirder is that I despised the panamera in pictures but now love it in person.....hmmm...maybe I am just looney

The flashing brake lights made me think they went PWM (pulse width modulation) on the tails for whatever reason and you only see it in the video due to the frame rate etc. BMW only uses PWM on the interior lights on all modern cars with valvetronic so you don't see the lighting dim when the valvetronic motors operate.

Drive was incredible...felt almost as quick as the ///M models with no noticeable lag. The M models are def' more cost effective with better performance...and i'm beginning to dislike the rear of the new Peppers. Looks very aggressive from the front stance but i highly doubt the rear will grow on me as the X6 did.
Edit: due to the weight loss of the new Pepper, i believe it may hit 100mph a tick or two faster than the ///M models. Last edited by chilliwilli; 08-30-2010 at 11:27 AM.
