Exclamation HillbillyHeaven: A Day's Pics

Autumn sneaked in, here at 5,000 ft elevation, but the fall colors have not really surfaced yet. The summer haze is gone, the sun rise/set has moved along the horizon,
and the beautiful effects have returned, as they always do this time of year. Most pics were taken just before or after, sunrise.

A batch of pics, all taken from our deck, looking East-Southeast, down at our town and across the valley to Mt Pisgah, The Cold Mountain, Wolfpen Mt, and the Balsam Mtns,
here on the edge of the Smokies.

Autumn here in the Blue Ridge, is a fine life, imo.
Thanks for looking!
Best Regards, mD

Nice pics, "Hillbilly".

Wish I could live the "Hillbilly" life. I will be heading back up to our friends lake house near Robbinsville, NC one last time this year later in the month. The skiiing and boating are done for the season, but the views are beautiful and the hot tub works just fine.

Enjoy it!

Beautiful shots, MD, as per your usual.

I have lived in places where the weather was nice all year, but where the seasons all blurred together; and other places where there were distinct seasons. I like the latter best; you can mark the passage of time from one season to the next.

Great work.

I would like to experience a full calendar year where you live Jeff. Seems beautiful.

Great pics. Must be nice living in a house with a dynamic painting out your front window.
