Roku XDS (2100X) or Apple TV

I don't have cable service and thought that getting more on line service might be nice. I am Mac user and my first choose is Apple but it seems that the free TV selection (like CBS TV) is blocked.

I would also like the device to provide internet radio for my sound system, I think both systems do this? Do they provide HD Radio level output?

It would be great to play Podcasts which I think only the Apple does.

Roku XDS for the win.

AppleTV is cute, stylish, and Apple but only outputs 720p and does not do some of the things you want. I like the Roku's ability to stream Pandora and the wider variety of content. Supposedly the XDS has better wireless too.

Yes, there are ways that the AppleTV is "better" if you want total Mac intergration but if you just want it to act as a stand-alone media viewer, I like the Roku better. If you want the ability to stream from your Mac to the TV then Apple's gotcha.

I was going to buy an AppleTV but I think a Roku XDS is in my near future.
