Thats a E87 1er in the UK. BMWs in Europe and the UK are fitted with summer tyres as standard from the factory, so no surprise there.

echem...If I may, technically, the woman did not drive the 120td (guess) into the house. The 120td drove itself, of'course, she did help by leaving it in gear to begin with. Maybe that's the economical English version of Knight Industries Two Thousand (KITT for those not getting it.)

I've done that 'leave it in 1st or 2nd, ease out the clutch, get the wheels spinning, give the car a push, and jump back in' deal...not impossible, but I suspect she was asleep that day in driver ed. Remarkable how her car was just planted on a slippery spot and would not move; exacerbated by her wheel spinning, but not a great ad for XDrive, but a good graphic to show how summer/'all season' tires do not work well in lower temps.
