44 year old US citizen shot after claiming he had a bomb on his carry on. US Federal Air Marshalls shot him when he refused to drop down, apparently he was not carrying any explosives. The man was traveling with his wife from Medellin, Colombia to Orlando, Fl....

One less fool to terrorize the public. I don't care if he was crazy or criminal. You just don't do this stuff in 2005. The air marshall did exactly what we pray they will do--protect us.

The passenger, who apparently was bipolar, was traveling from Ecuador (via Colombia and Miami) to Orlando with his wife. How sad...

Why in the world did he say he had a bomb? Saying that in an airport nowaway this is like committing suicide!

And according to reports, he reached INTO the bag he claimed to have a bomb in when the feds told him to drop the bag and get on the ground. Imagine...you're a cop/fed/security guard with a sidearm and someone says "I have a bomb". Are you gonna let him then reach into the bag he's carrying, the most likely place for the bomb to be? I'd squeeze off all 10 personally. I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6 any day.

They say aim center mass and that is what he did....the officer will be messed up for a bit but he did what he had to do...

I agree...never say "bomb" or "Hi Jack " in or around a plane or airport
