Whistle Well, I do need a farm truck...?

But I'd need a little more ground clearance than this...

Read about this last week...

Quote:
A BMW spokesperson has confirmed to Road & Track that the M3 Pickup recently spotted testing at the Nürburgring is not headed for production. “BMW M did indeed create the pick-up seen on the ’Ring, but it was just an internal project, not something that is in development,” explained Dave Buchko, BMW Advanced Powertrain & Heritage Communications Manager. “There are no plans to produce it.”

Interesting! Looks too refined to be a pick up tho. Should use a 7 series and 4 door the thing. Single cabs is from the past. But all in all, interesting.

Hmmm, needs more ground clearance for it to work in rural Virginia.

Something gets me about this.... I understand fully that this would never be a production model and was just an internal project and all, BUT... what the hell is the point of that particular project? What could they have possibly been testing?

They must have fixed the fuel pump problems, addressed the electrical shortcomings of newer BMWs, fixed the first-year build issues with the new X3, and found solutions to all other BMW problems! That's great!

Wonder how much it costs to build that.... With no "real" intention of selling it. Like they were bored and had 5 million dollars to burn.

...money would be better spent on better designed oil separator or window regulators
