Not Your Average Pet Snake...

Although it was probably someone's pet, before it got released. I have seen a B Python, on a hike in the 'Glades, but not this big.
I think it would have had some indigestion, if the wildlife guys hadn't killed it.

Pics from the Naples FL Daily News...the ingested deer was a 78 lb doe; the Burmese python was 16+ feet long.

Florida is overrun with invasive fauna, mostly from idiots who got tired of their exotic pets when the novelty wore off or when they realized how difficult it was to keep them. I hear there are a few monkeys and apes roaming around in the glades.

Hi Ray, yes southern FL is rife with invasives...some are ok, some are benign, some are aggressive/invasive as hell and multiply like, well like rabbits.

This is a kind of official python hunt on for much of the year, and the unofficial one goes on all year, but it takes some real ballz and a good air boat to cover the ground and get to the usual suspect areas.

Hope you and your Fam are all doing fine!
