Going karting!

I am going go karting on Sunday and not the kind that you rent for an hour or two at your local amusement park. Check out this track . It looks amazing. I know a lady who's husband builds racing karts and he invited me out for a day of karting. He's bringing the karts and gas, I only have to pay $40 for the track time. Check out these karts! They are nuts! Whoo hoo! Unfortunately this could become another expensive obsession but would feed the need for speed and it's definitely cheaper than PCars on the track.

They have something very similar here in Charlotte (the birthplace of NASCAR, after all), and I've been there a couple of times. It's a blast!!

Just don't try to keep up with the "regulars" there -- they take this stuff seriously, and you'll hear about it if you hold them up or don't let them pass you. Have fun!

niiice.. still waiting for you to come up for karting up here again.. Lemans got new more powerful karts with better compound tires too... they are also opening the outdoor track now to lengthen the course so should be a blast..

very nice.. get a kart kevin. i'm getting one to supplement my training. craig and glenn have been training me on karts before we try the it in the racecar on track... its helped me big time...

in fact, my whole crew is going to get karts because it is cheaper then the big track, much lower risk, and there is plenty of competition available...
