Congrats to the BC Lions on winning the 2011 Grey Cup.
When I used to carry the bag, I had CDA under my tutelage, so I caught several 'Canadian Football' games up in the GWN, when I could.

Thanks MD. Didn't think anybody south of the 49th would have known it was on! It was the 99th Grey Cup game this year.

Last time the Lions won was in 1994. That was the year the Canucks missed the Stanley Cup in game 7. This time they won after the Canucks missed the Stanley Cup in game 7. Both times were home games for the Lions (only recent times home team has won the Grey Cup).

I don't watch the CFL, except for this game. It was a pretty big party here in town, and no trouble with rioting punks. The crowd seemed a little more mature, and happier, than a hockey crowd.

Ah, the Lions. I still look back on the days of Joe "The Throwin' Samoan" Pao Pao and one Doug Flutie.

Vancouver has a beautiful newly renovated stadium to go with the win. Now for my Canucks to stay on their current roll and string more wins together.
