ATT -> Cingular -> ATT - sim/phone question

I lost my phone..

As temporary or permament replacement, I found my dad's old Sony Ericsson T68i in the closet. A couple years ago when I was curious and put a Cingular sim card in, it wouldn't work because it was an 'AT&T' locked phone from back in the day. Now that we've come full circle with company branding, will the phone accept a current replacement sim card? If not, will ATT unlock the phone for me?

The phone is small, don't have to flip or slide it and has bluetooth, so it fullfills the requirements.

They provide unlock instructions/codes after 6mos. of service from opening a new account. Try their web site support and provide them with the IMEI and current account # and they should let you know what else they need to start the unlock procedures.

Their policy for unlocking is hidden deep in a document somewhere that you can access in their web site and I remember seeing it but it's tough to get to.

The iPhone can also be unlocked by them as long as you satisfy the minimum requiements of service with them.

hi you can unlock your sony ericsson mobile from the network using codes .there are many online providers found in the net that provide you the codes to unlock your mobile .you can get the codes from this site prounlocking here they ask the imei number of the mobile.finally they will send you the codes to unlock your mobile .once your mobile is unlocked then it will be free to accept all network sim.
