Pretty cool stuff! Quick question. Why do wheel manufacturers make a wheel in two pieces instead of one? I thought a one piece wheel would be structurally stronger??

correct.. one piece is strongest and lightest...

2 piece = better offset choices and cheaper to manufacture.

3 piece = cheapest to manufacture and widest offset choices... but you have more risk of leak, thicker/heavier to compensate for weaker design.. etc...
