IE9...

Anyone else using it? Any opins?

I find a few things on it to be very quirky, and would not have been on my design list.

New box & hd monitor, and it's running like an interstellar ship:
I-7, 12 gig RAM, etc.
GL, mD

I use Chrome, but IE9 works ok. I would set the default search engine to Google instead of Bing.

What antivirus are you using? Microsoft security essentials works well.

R,
I fiddle back and forth between IE9 & Chrome...Chrome seems faster and 'cleaner', but I have the habit of IE, too.

Norton 2012, though I have used MSE in past. Am used to N, it is cleaner and much less intrusive than it used to be, and with the power of boxes/laptops these days, one hardly know it's there.

Congrats on the new i7 rig. It's amazing how much oomph you get with an Intel based machine these days.

I have no issues with IE9. Much better than previous versions.

I don't use Chrome out of spite. It seems every time I update or install something else Chrome gets installed unless you read the fine print and uncheck the part that says Install Chrome as well. If I wanted Chrome I can damn well download and install it myself. I don't need it sneaking in piggyback through the side door on some other software package.

Anything but google; unless you don't mind handing over all your personal data via Chrome, Gmail and search. All they are about is monetizing search and serving you up crap while they mine all your personal info. And I concur with rayxi I'd rather not have it crammed down my throat at every turn.

I just got a new MacBook Pro with the i7 and it's great. I typically use Firefox on this with Bing as my default search engine, at work it's combo of IE9 and Firefox.
