The Czech's are going to win the whole thing I think.
Bertuzzi should be banned from hockey for the rest of his life, he's a scumbag. Leetch being left off is one thing, Leetch finding out from TV and not Team USA directly is a travesty.

Personally, I'm glad to see Bertuzzi on the roster. Not a surprise, given how supportive Gretzky has been of him. Bertuzzi has been playing well lately, the big line is back.
I am glad to see Iginla and Jojo on the list as well. Sakic is good as captain, but 36 years old? I am looking forward as much to the women's hockey at the Olymics, as the men's. And don't forget the world junior championships - it is at the top of the news at the moment, here in BC. Games start on Monday, pre-games have been going for the past week.

Jeff, I love the junior championship as well (don't we all?) The Canadian team will be in tough with that US side......very talented team.
It's one of those things you look forward to every Christmas time.

I'm personally sad to see that Stevie Y won't be on the team this year (but glad to see that they may retire number 19 in his honor). Should be a good series, but my money is on Switzerland (with 4 players coming frrom the Wings)

Bertuzzi should not be on the team. He does not deserve the honor.
How the US team can go to the games without Brian Leetch on the blueline I do not know. I cannot believe a slow lumbering bafoon like Derian Hatcher makes the team over Leetch.

I was watching HNIC and like the guys there were saying, I'd hate to be the guys in charge of picking the Canadian team. There are so many talented Canadian players to choose from. I am glad to see Bertuzzi playing well and on the team. I have put the whole "incident" behind as has the rest of hockey. He will make a big impact. As Gretzky said pre-season, with the new rules, Bertuzzi could be unstoppable.
As for Crosby, he is a very talented player for sure but given the wide range of players out there who have both World Cup and Olympic experience, it is more difficult to justify an 18 year old kid getting on the roster. I do admire how he handled it though. He was very gracious and classy. If it had been an NBA or NFL player, well, enough said.

I don't think "all of hockey" has put the Bertuzzi/Moore incident behind them at all. In fact Bertuzzi was booed every time he touched the puck at MSG last week. His refusal to pay Moore's legal costs is a real gutless move too.

Anyway, enough of that. I hope both US and Canadian Olympic teams play their best. Should be great.
