Question Keep or sell- what would you do?

I bought a 2001 BMW X5 4.4i on Nov. 19th of last year. On Dec 3 I was hit 3 blocks from home !!!! In the process of getting the car fixed and going between the two insurance companies, neither company wanted to to total the vehicle. The original estimate was for roughly $15,000.00, and the shop said it would be ready. Then came Feb 7 and more estimates, , March 17 and another suppliment, and I finally got it back last Wednesday. It looks cosmetically the same, but the ride is a little harsh due to some engine vibration that I do no remember from before the vehicle was in the accident, and the total price ($4800.00 for the Ford Escape I rented for 3 months, $5000.00 for the airbax specialists, $5000.00 for the engine people and $24,000.00 for the body shop ) was $38,000.00!!!! !!!!! The plus side is I only had to pay my deductible! I am definitely going to take the car back to the shop and complain about the engine vibration and transmission acting a little strange(shifts aren't as smooth, and I got a significant 'bump' when I was driving a little hard on the car). I absolutely love the car, the ride and would definitely buy another one- should I get rid of this car- what would you people do? I do have before and after pics if you all would like to see them(just don't know how to post pics to a thread).

I would get rid of it. You know it would never be the same.

If it was just cosmetic damage and you are satisfied with the workmanship of the body shop that did the repairs then I wouldn't be afraid to keep it. However, if there was any significant structural/frame damage to the vehicle then I would probably sell it and replace it with another (like a good used 4.6is )

Just my 2 cents.

38Gs and they wouldn't total the sumbitch?!
Whew.

If you still like it, keep it; if the love is gone, toss the sucker, though that acc. repair may follow the car like a dark cloud. GL,md

I am definitely goin to pursue devaluation on my vehicle form the insurance company- since I do know that if I sell it that those Carfax reports will follow it like a bad disease- so that is one thing that I will do to recoup some money...
