Ferrari F12 Berlinetta

Here is some serious F car pr0n. This is supposedly 1 of 2 F12 Berlinettas in North America right now. This one was being photographed at a Ferrari dealer. A relative of mine happened to be walking by, peeked in, and was invited in to watch! He snapped these pics. The paint color is a matte silver and is a jaw dropping $35,000 option!

Looks incredible. Sounds even better.

This is a proper replacement for the 599, which I never found attractive. And the 612 Scaglietti was downright ugly.

F12 reminds me of the 550 Maranello and 575M - both still look great IMO. Great to see some manufacturers blowing off the hippie liberal treehuggers and going for more speed & NA power. Production cars are getting unbelievably quick. How much better can they get?

That backside looks unfinished/off to me....the rest of the car is gorgeous though!

I know what you mean. It looks like it's got rudders but surely, the hundreds (thousands?) of hours in Ferrari's wind tunnel justify the odd shape.

Really? The 599 is one of the best looking modern day F-cars, imo.

I don't really like the silver/grey color scheme on the F12 above. Looks a bit boring. From the rear, the F12 looks like it is wearing a thong.

The 599 takes the cake in my book as the better looking of the 2 as well. Don't get me wrong, I still like the f12, but that back end just leaves me scratching my head---none of the lines, curves or angles go with the rest of the car. The 599 on the other hand is gorgeous from every angle!

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
Beautiful car, I'm just saddened still by the death of the purist manual transmission in Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc....

Maybe I'm old school but driving one of these immaculate machines I'd want to be able to row my own gears and have control of the driving experience. Having all the electronics and computer sensors doesn't do it for me, I don't car if the transmission can shift in 5 milliseconds it doesn't replace a true 3 pedal system in my opinion.

Carry on....

They are all going to be this way soon. The new 991 GT3 is PDK only as well for the first time.

I get where you're coming from, and it makes total sense since exotics, being as captivating as they are, are all about the emotions and driving experience --- clearly making a classic manual an extension of that. Unfortunately, IMO, the performance level associated with these high end cars has simply come to a point where we (humans) can't keep up. It would be nice if companies would simply keep a manual as an option, but I'm also for all the new age tech---including the flappy paddle gearboxes!
