Who's your favorite singer, band, entertainer?

Since quite a few members have iPod's or other forms of music players i thought it would be educational to find out what kind of music resides on these players. Here's an example of how you could fill us in. Remember this is just for fun.

Favorite kind of Music

#1 Most listed songs by any artist
#2 Favorite Female artist
#3 Favorite Male artist
#4 Favorite band
#5 Favorite vocal group

Grateful Dead
Beatles
Flaming Lips
Phish
String Cheese Incident
Death Cab for Cutie
Gomez
My Morning Jacket
The Shins
Tom Petty

(those are just the bands I have a ton of albums for, but there are at least another 200 on my itunes list)...

I am crazy into music...

So hard to choose.....

If you were stuck on an island with the whole library for only one band (this was the question we would ask on a long road trip).... who would it be...

For me, it was either Beatles or Dead.

This is a tough one for me. Music is such an important part of my life. No reason in particular; I just love it. My iPod has a little over 5,000 songs on it.
Tom Morello of Audioslave (formally of Rage Against the Machine) is my God!

Favorite Kind of Music-Anything...but mostly Country & Rock
Most Listed By Any Artist-Stone Temple Pilots
Favorite Female Artist-Sarah McLachlan
Favorite Male Artist-George Strait
Favorite Band-Audioslave (It was Stone Temple Pilots, but they are no longer together.)
Favorite Group-The Dixie Chicks

I am a little ecclectic too and have over 10GB of music on my iPod. Judging by your list you are probably a KCRW (Santa Monica College Radio) listener in the morning. I love "Morning Become Ecclectic". Death Cab for Cutie is one of my current favorite CD's.

Definitely The Beatles. They had a wide range of musical styles over the course of their short career. Bubble gum pop initially ("I Wanna Hold Your Hand"), to Indian-influenced, to ballads, all the way to nearly metal ("Helter Skelter").

I have about 35 gigs of music.... I love KCRW (I am a subscriber contributor).... I have been listening to MBE for years - a lot of favorite bands have come from there...

I am also really into the whole Jam Band scene too. (I don't know about the 5 hour concerts, but I love the music)...
