Considering purchasing foreclosed real estate property... Pro tips?
So this house in my neighborhood is set to be auctioned off in the near future and it got me thinking about investment possibilities. I understand that purchasing a foreclosure is a cash only venture so I know my limits... I'm pretty handy as far as reno's go, and I have family that is very experienced so I'm confident resto expenses could be kept in house... Anybody have any experience with buying RE at an auction? Risk/reward worth it? Or have I spent too much time watching hgtv
??

If you need a pro in this area why not try a real-estate forum.

First thing that comes to mind is making sure there are no liens against the property.

Good looking out, Quicks- I used zillow to find comparable properties in my target area to get a ballpark of market values. I'm more looking for first hand caution/suggestions like look out for fruit trees (termites love 'em) and how to spot water damage...
