The Sony, NoBaloney Big 60 Inch...

ChrisF, et al, were bugging me to put up some pics of the new 60" SXRD, and being an occas. picHo', I thought I'd oblige.

Impossible to convey the real HD image in these pics, but the 1080 HD feed stations from ComCrap, are absolfookinlutely incredible! Even the 720 HD feeds are outstanding. Some SD feed stations look very, very good, some ok, and others look like crap...it all depends on the station feed, imo, from this low tech ol'guy. I have noticed none of the litany of picayune or major complaints, "defect-wise" that turn up on the AVS Forum threads, so maybe I got lucky with this set or my visual edge is fading like most of my other "edges". :p

NEway, I have rarely been a first, (or 2nd gen.), "adopter", but we took the chance. It does need a center channel badly for better clarity on speaking parts sound track and a receiver to drive add'l speakers and play my Beethoven CDs is on the list.

It's kinda George Jetson looking with the silver speaker ears on the sides, but I will get a Ctr spkr & R&L pair and receiver, soon; I'm missing my tunes/classical, etc. ComCrap has audio "music channels" but it's v.low fi and pretty boring.

The walls and ten foot freaking tall ceiling trim were painted by yours truly. The new lil'joint came in one color: "biscuit" or some such and the CEO picked out the colors and I painted All the rooms, inc. tray ceilings when we were here in Oct. jes' before 'CaneWilma.

The Comcast DVR combined with the new Sony,NoBaloney have instruction manuals and settings that would make a techie thrilled...for me, it's a struggle, lol!

And, the price on the 60" is dropping like a rock. Ah, well. I told daKidz they can fight over the houses, real estate, m'cycles, guns and wine: the dough will be gonzo!
