Dinan E53
Has anyone done any Dinan transmission or engine software upgrade for the 2005 E53? Tell us about the results.
EDIT: looks like i'm out of luck. Dinan says "No transmission software available for my 2005. The engine software upgrade is available.

withidl reportedly had good results with the Dinan transmission software on his E53. I think he may have had the Dinan engine software too, not sure. Search his posts.

The performance engine software removes the speed limiter, and raises the redline by 100 rpm. The claimed 8 hp gain is at 6600 rpm. Do you spend much time at 6500 rpm or with the vehicle pegged at the current top speed limiter? If not, it would be hard to justify the $500 for anything other than the Dinan badge. It is worth three points towards that badge.

Q, refresh my memory but do you have M54 or N62?
If M54 the Conforti Shark Injector is a nice upgrade, and if N62 you always could look to ESS or Active Autowerke for an engine tue.
