Now we know why the original 3 page bailout bill did not pass.

Not enough PORK.

The once 3 page bill bloomed into 442 pages filled with all kinds of goodies to get congressional and senatorial members to sign onto the bill.

Just a few of the goodies that America needed in this crisis situation.

Millions in tax breaks and related pork for kids' wooden arrows, Puerto Rican rum producers, auto race tracks, and corporations operating in American Samoa. (The likely explanation for the latter: StarKist has a large tuna-canning operation in American Samoa. And StarKist's parent company happens to be located in the district of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

The bill has become, in other words, something almost unrelated to the business of bailing out Wall Street. The Beltway term for this is a "Christmas tree bill," meaning everyone gets to hang their favorite spending projects on it--though by the time Congress gets it through, it more closely resembles a slop bucket. "We will not Christmas-tree this bill," Sen. Chuck Schumer, a New York Democrat promised a few days ago. "The times are too urgent. Everyone has their own desires and needs. It's going to have to wait."

WAKE UP AMERICA!

Funny how the bushman thanked everyone but McCain
the one person who suspended his campaign to save the day.

It's not my fault there is so much humorous material floating around about McCain/Palin. It's not hard to ride the train just to see where it goes.

I have to admit though that Orilley and his latest rant far exceeded all the other stuff floating around the news in the past few days. I believe either he has some serious mental issues or someone told him he's entertaining. Maybe the latter may be more accurate.

Again, I want a Government definition of a Small Business or Main Street. Apparently 9 figure companies are "small business" that need help. STARKIST, you have to be kidding me. I heard on the radio yesterday, the only way to make a real difference in Congress, forget your party or what you "thought" and vote out an incumbent.

This has absolutely nothing to do with Obama, McCain, Reps or Dems...it has to do with greedy rich @ holes that have spent their life on the government tit telling you they are working for your best interests. Why is no one questioning this: it took Congress and the Whitehouse a total of roughly 5 weeks to spend 700B on paper, and PASS IT AS LAW from the Pres. FEMA, can't do anything with that..Healthcare, can't do anything with that..Energy, can't do anything with that..Tax breaks, can't do anything with that..Environment, can't do anything with that..DOJ, can't do anything with that..Immigration, can't do anything with that..Infrastructure, can't do anything with that......the list goes on indefinitely.

I really wish people would wake the he!! up here. No wonder other countries look across the Atlantic (or south) and laugh. This is really sad. The US is becoming the Paris Hilton of the world, rich and dumb. I think the founding fathers would look at us today as Martin Luther King would like at Kayne West and DMX, put their collective heads down and sigh.

McCain would have vetoed this bill if he were Prez, since it has pork attached.

Congress will get a blank check for all the pork they want under Obama, IMO.
