I'm not sure that anyone is paying attention. Everyone is too busy watching SNL and laughing at Palin. They know a train wreck when they see one.

Biden has YEARS of gaffs on his record. Palin is just a newbie in terms of putting her foot in her mouth.

FDR on TV? JOBS a three letter word...Yell stand up so people can see you to a guy in a wheelchair? That is just this month...Palin has nothing on Biden in terms of speaking flubs.

I think the difference is that to the average guy, Biden appears to talk in an intelligent way and seems like he knows what he's talking about. On the other hand, it seems quite obvious that Palin has no idea what she is talking about whether it was during one of those interviews or at the debate.

So to sum up, they are both full of crap, but Biden does a better job at sounding like he knows what he's talking about.

Again, Palin does not look like a politician.

"We want someone like us" then the average person sees that individual and mocks them

Who knows, people cried a river about Bush's first term..then voted for him again. IMO the ridicule that chick has taken is ridiculous. I'm not sure what Biden has done (since his experience far outweighs Obamas) that proves he would be any type of influential leader. Lifetime in the Senate and you see where we are today. If I was picking between these two...I'd rather try something new. I actually think the libbys are in for a big surprise come election day.

I have a problem with that idea in general. The President should not be like a "regular" person. The President should indeed be an "elite" person who is much smarter and much more capable than the average person.

As I said in another thread, would you choose your surgeon or your lawyer based on who you thought was more of a regular guy? Of course not. So then why would you expect any less of the President?

Then you don't like the Constitution. Of the people, by the people..that whole line

You're assuming the same morons you wouldn't trust in your lawyer/surgeon reference.....could pick the right person to be a leader Go Paris Hilton and American Idol

I'm pretty sure if you gave the average person a choice to pick their lawyer between a harvard graduate elitest, and a "regular" guy who graduated from a much less known law school, 99% would choose the harvard grad. The question is, why would they not choose their president the same way?
