As the article discusses, this sort of thing is happing all across the country, and has been pushed by Republicans because it favors them. Those most likely to have these "mismatches" or errors in their information are immigrants who have difficult to spell names, and these people overwhelmingly are democrats.

The major voting fraud going on this country is not people voting more than once, but eligable voters not being allowed to vote at all. The other main "fraud" that is going on and which went on in 2004 is the inequal distribution of voting machines. In Ohio in 2004, you had rural (and mostly Republican) districts had more voting machines than needed, so that there was no wait at all, while inner city (and mostly Democrat) districts had 8-10 hour waits to vote since not enough voting machines were present. Would you wait 10 hours to vote? I would probably just go home, as I'm sure many voters did.
