Sorry, didn't mean to do that. I just do not see the point of waiting until something bad happens to react. History has taught us over and over that when you allow a 'bad' guy to do as he pleases, he will push until you are the broken one. I would really like to see the US handle problems with common sense.

No Iraq war. Finish Afganistan. Take out the potential for nuclear weapon production in NK and Iraq. Bring our troops home and use the air force wherever trouble starts!

Without putting words in your mouth, please explain your solutions.

My solution towards this is exactly what is happening now. Hearing Russia a few days ago putting even more pressure on Iran put a smile on my face. IMO that is the only way to handle the situation before a possible invasion or air strike. Russia has stronger ties with Tehran than US...so it's only right they should have a big say into this whole situation.

I haven't said anything about crawling under a rock and wait...but to handle this with a strike won't bring any good in the long run.

As for N Korea...that country from a military and economic stand point they are nothing more than a blip...Eventually they will have to comply ...and rejoin negotiations to abandon nuclear ambitions for economic aid and such...

I have the solution to make us the best loved country in the world... STOP ALL aid to every country in the world including all military installations keeping peace though out the world and keeping other countries from having to spend on their own security. I guarantee withing a year or less (or first natural disaster, caused by global warming lol!!!!) they will come begging at our door on hands and knees for us to help them.

To make that work we would need to be energy independent. War would start in the Persian Gulf and oil would be $1000 per barrel, if you could get some.

I totally support the idea, but we'd have to have a lot of investment in wind, solar, wave energy systems first.

THEN we could all stop buying crap from Wal-Mart, and put China out of business and Americans back to work.

Shoot, we can be energy independent tomorrow if we wanted. We have more oil than the middle east. We have so many potential sources of energy, we wouldn't know were to start. I agree with that made in China crap. I try to avoid as much as I can.
We are the only ones to blame for everything made in China. Started in the 70s and 80s when we still had a choice. We used to have the same products side by side. Made in USA was more expensive and we chose the China shit. Little my little we lost our manufacturing.
