Does saturday June 9th work for everyone? I guess I will take charge. I say we can meet at Magnuson park (Big parking lot) and meet eachother and share our cars. Then we can set out for a day of driving up to Mt. St. Helens. The drive time is 2 hours and the views are incredible. Make sure you come loaded with fuel. More info coming soon, spead the word to Seattle X5 owners.

Sounds good as long as the weather cooperates and no one else minds the long drive, any other suggestions on location? 2 hours is a bit long especially with gas prices these days

Did St. Helens 8 yrs ago coming up I-5 - nice sign tells you visitor center only afew miles off the interstate, when you get there you find out the REAL visitor center is another 40+miles on a 2 lane road at speed limit 45mph - Granted it was an awesome sight and I'm glad I went, but it's a long way in and a long way back.

The June date is too soon for me. I'll give y'all a headsup if I make it out that way again. Seafair's a big pull for me so maybe then.

Yea, early Aug might work, Glacier should be thawed enuf to visit by then - only trouble with this retirement gig is there sometimes TOO much to do and plans change - options & possibilities can be as schedule restricting as having a job - so much to do, so little time to do it - alot are "once-in-a-lifetime" and I promised myself I would try not to miss them like I had to when I was working (ie commissioning of a Trident sub with an overnight ride, being introduced to Prince Charles are two I had to give up "because of work") - Some are on my "wish list" of things I'd like to experience or see - Like I said, there's more to retirement than being a couch potato.
