Wow that's amazing considering its the weekend. You're lucky you've all got that 6th gear keeping the revs low at highway speeds. I think I'd get annoyed hearing my X3 run 90mph @ 3500rpm for hours on end. I did that on the way to NC and it kinda got annoying.

But the 1-2-3 short gearing is cool. All I have to do is keep my foot planted in the corner no matter how the X3 behaves. Let my steering and xDrive do the work. That's how I can get the most out of 184hp in the corners (and parking lots). The inline-six wail is priceless too!

Great pics everyone! These meets are what X5world (and X3world ) are all about. Even if I only used up 2 gallons of fuel (so how many oil wells did you V8 owners dry up?)

I don't measure it in gallons. I measure it in dinosaurs burned per hour.

We had one interesting experience on the way home..

After we crossed the bridge from Delaware into NJ there were about 8 guys on motorcycles..all part of the same club from their shirts..

Anyway, even though traffic is moving well, they begin to dart in and out of lanes..which made me (and I'm sure a lot of other people) nervous.

So we go for another 5-10 minutes, and we see flashing po-lice lights..and sure enough, those fellas were all nabbed on the side of the road.

As much as I hate to see people get in trouble for having fun, they kinda deserved it for being reckless..at least that was my observation. They did not look happy and the officers (there were about 4 cars) were taking their sweet time..

Player - I don't know HOW you made it another 60 miles further north than I did in less time that us (of course you didnt have my wife screaming "Slow Down!!" every so often), but I wanna ride with you next time !

Thanks again, and when is the next one ???

ED

PS. I figured we would have spent somewhere around $30 for lunch for the 3 of us, and since I didnt spend it there, I just signed up for as a Premium Member.. I figure that way I can give back to the boards, and it really didnt cost me anything !

It was great meeting you and your family!

I'm sure we'll have another Tri-State Meet in Connecticut this fall, but how do you feel about a road trip? http://www.xoutpost.com/x5world-x3wor...rlotte-nc.html

BTW--I see you are a Premier Member now! Thanks for the support!
